It was roof rack day for thethirdtwin. All day. Ugh. In the last pic, the camera captured more light than my eyes did. I finished the last two bolts by flashlight.

Drove some yesterday, the wind noise at 60 was really noticeable. I slid the deflector closer to the roof, plus added the trim piece.

Wired up the rear lights today. Hopefully I’m done removing interior pieces for a while.

Yesterday was chase lights. So today must be Rome. Er, ditch lights.

Went and got thethirdtwin dirty at Big Bend NP. And a bit of battle damage.

It was storming every night. Many parts of the park were flooded and closed. Not quite Biblical rain, but it seemed close.

We did Old Ore Rd one day. Lots of mud and standing water. Go figure. I was on an off camber area, going around a large rock. Then the earth reminded me about mud, friction, and gravity. Crunch right down into that rock.

The next day was River Road West, then Black Gap. I hit the pushbar on the big step on Black Gap.

A tales of 2 Hoes, 18 months and 12 hours, plus a thunderstorm apart. Same sign.

The first splash looked cool in the lights. The second dip had a wave come over the hood.

Ran some roads, splashed in water. Saw some wildlife. The millipedes were crazy large, about 6-8”.

Great pics but watch out for that little furry black fella. If he gets ahold of you by the toe, he'll swing you against the ground like a baseball bat. Gaaaaahhhhhh!

The shelf where I tore the pushbar rubber. The mud at the bottom was 18” deep. And these guys did it the day before, not after dark in a thunderstorm.

Summarizing past stuff in thecopcar. The terminal block for the cabin power at the left rear had been cut out. I reterminated each 50 amp feed with a powerpole.

rear seat was deleted to make more room for the hound. That evolved into a fridge platform, then a full width platform with storage below.

the fridge is on the passenger side with the gray thermal blanket.
