I ordered a new seat cover, foam and heater for my drivers seat.
Got it within 2 days. Put it on last night.
Figured id recap for those interested.
I didnt take the whole seat out, I think all told i spent as much time getting everything unplugged and cleaning under the seat as it took to recover.
If you dont pull the whole seat there are (7) plugs that have to come apart.
I took the 2 bolts out , and just shifted around until i was able to access them all. a couple are in tight areas, but i made it work. the tricky one was what i think is the sensor for presure on the seat to determine if the belt should be on. that one i ended up just pulling out the 2 small screws and taking apart rather than risk trashing the plug.
Once the seat pan was off, took literally 20 minutes to recover. Not bad at all. If i knew what to expect for the plugs, i think the whole thing could be done in under an hour.
i used 3m spray adhesive in addition to the double sided tape strips for the new heating element.

With new foam, its a brand new seat. leather looks perfect, color matches perfect. the only thing im wondering, the ass heater doesnt seem to get as hot as the factory back heater. or maybe its just not as fast. so i could have a switch issue as well.
I only replaced because i figured why not since its open.
I think for everything, including shipping i was under $400 and looks good if not better than new.
