Hope im posting in the right spot. I have several (6) Tahoes ranging in years.
Is it possible to swap hood, fenders, front clip, headlights, grill etc. from a 2001 Tahoe or Denali with a 2009 Tahoe?
And if so, how much modification would need to be done?
Assuming that you COULD swap ALL these things - they likely go together as a 'package deal' - it MAY (or may NOT?) ALSO be necessary to ALSO swap the doors ...
... how are you going to hook up the power windows & door locks & other power stuff?
Also there's stuff UNDER the external parts that attaches to the frame and the outer parts that may well be different ...
Don't get me wrong, I've wondered about this myself. Here's some food for thought:
Body-frame ... Suburban ... Tahoe
GMT400 - - - - 220" long ... 199" long
GMT800 - - - - 220" long ... 199" long
GMT900 - - - - 222" long ... 202" long
GMT-K2 - - - - 224" long ... 204" long
. . . however . . .
Body-frame ... Suburban ... Tahoe
GMT400 - - - - 132" WB ... 118" WB
GMT800 - - - - 130" WB ... 116" WB
GMT900 - - - - 130" WB ... 116" WB
GMT-K2 - - - - 130" WB ... 116" WB
In other words, the similarities between the frames may (for the most part) outweigh the differences, especially between GMT900 & GMT-K2.
2500 frames share even more similarities ...
