OK dumb question here...

Pops has been letting me borrow his car while mines under the knife. Toyota highlander. It has this neat little "sync" button for the hvac controls that adjusts driver, passenger, and rear controls just by turning the drivers side knob.

Can I do that in my hoe? Checked the manual and took a glance at the thing, nothing stuck out to me. Is there a magic setting somewhere?

Not sure about nbs but nnbs and k2xx can. I guess it depends on if you have automatic or manual climate control in your nbs.

I think you have it but newer cars makes it sound fancier. In regular mode (not each zone setting their own temp) your system is synced. I think they added the sync mode bc now the default is setting each zone separately the wife’s new rav4 has that button too.

Does it look like this? On my nnbs i hit auto, adjust temp and it syncs driver and pass, i do have to hit rear on my dash control but then truck heats up/ cools down evenly. My nbs had manual and was an 01 and i think they changed in 03. Do you have a rear button on the dash controller?

Yeah that's what I have
Rear is on the overhead console. Will pay closer attention when I press auto, I was under the impression all it did was modulate the blend doors and fan speed according to the cabin temp sensor.

This might be a case of me derping out and completely over complicating the simplest thing

Will post back later when it's running

Pressing auto just turns the controls to well... Automatic based on set temp

Pressing and holding auto syncs driver and passenger

Rear seems to be on its own circuit and needs to be controlled independently
