Hello all,
I'm doing some research towards my next vehicle purchase and I have a couple of 2500 specific questions.
- Are there any significant model year differences between 2001-2006 2500 Suburbans? That is, other than mileage and newness, are there any compelling reasons to choose a 2004 over a 2002 (for example)? I saw a brief mention of a wiring update (can't remember if it was here on another board) but there were no specifics.
- I only plan to tow every now and then and rarely anything above 8,000 lbs but I am going for the 2500 because I like the rear leaf suspension and the stronger transmission. As far as engine choice I'm seeing about as many 6.0L as 8.1L trucks but was leaning towards the 6.0L for the fuel savings (however marginal). In terms of reliability, are there any known problems with the 6.0L?
Thanks!
O.
