Strut/spring removal leaving spindle in place...

How difficult would it be to remove the strut/spring if the spindle is left in place during the process? There is substantial room on the in-side of the lower A-arm for strut removal/installation, but I'm wondering if the lower control arm will move low enough if the spindle is still in place. I'd like to remove one more ring from the struts but don't want to hassle with removing the spindle unless I absolutely have to.

I haven't personally done it, but looks like it can be done.

You DO NOT have to remove the spindle. Just remove the bolt holding the front sway bar in place and you will have plenty of room.

I did mine without even removing the brake rotor assembly/hub/spindle.
All you have to do is pry the strut off the lower control arm and it will be a breeze.
