Hello all. I'm new here and thought I'd show off what I've done in the last few years to my Tahoe....the stereo. It was done in several month segments as I was working a lot.

Custom amp rack made from scrap mdf.

Soundstream amps

Alpine 9835 hu

4 10's making loud bass.....RE SE the original

Soon to be replaced with 2 15's.

The sub enclosure is bolted down by use of the cargo tie downs near the rear seat. Just used a few washers and a long bolt, in each.

Everything done by myself.

Any questions, ask away.

I freaking LOVE RE subs. I run them in my boat. Just picked up a sub box for my avalanche yesterday that has 4 kicker comp r 10s in it. Should get it installed this weekend or next.

The power wire I ran thru the firewall......well duh. I don't remember if I drilled a bigger existing hole or if I drilled an appropriate sized hole for the 1/0 power wire. The fuse for the bigger amp I thought up a neat place in the storage container and due to it's massive size, it's hidden. The power wire has black conduit to "match" the rest of the factory wirings.

I got a few grounding points for the amps. They aren't together at all. The 4 ch is under the rear seat, on the "v" groove and same with the mono amp....on the drivers side rear door, again inside the little "v" groove.

Sadly, the subs I'm selling.

One last and prob most important thing. When the rear sears are down in place, they don't interfere with the amps at all.

you can put another battery tray where that storage box is if youlike.

my dual 10" polk mm subs are in an an sealed down fire enclose under the rear seat and unfortunately the seat bottoms are about a 1/4 from locking down. i will try to reposition the box one day to see if that fixes or just shave the two peg legs a bit but i have had stuff in the rear for a long time now. I should finally have a chance to clean it out entirely soon.

Yeah thought about adding another battery but not gonna spend any more $ than I am now. Unless I was running 1000's of watts then that would be a good choice to put a 2nd batt. Can easily fab up a tray or a viisit to the junkyard to find one.

Sunlicomet, any pics of your stereo?

A few more pics of the Tahoe. Haven't done much to it since I've had it. HID headlights and got new tires for it a few years ago. Would like some 22's but I got other things/projects going on atm. That's my s10 blazer lowrider in the background. Sadly, I sold it last year.

the stereo went in at the same time as security system so i spliced and soldered over 90 wires for the whole thing. the security system was option maxed out clifford avantguard 5.1. even have secondary backup battery in the alarm system. if you look at all the pics you can see the mess. hope the info helps. i think i did the install during '10 to '11. whole mess of work on bought broken truck was going on at the time. i had to put almost every other wanted things on hold for about 3 years now i think.
