Hi folks. Had the rear u joint replaced last year, after old one broke and drive shaft fell out. Afterwards had a vibration in the driveshaft. Now there is this horrible sound, like brakes being metal on metal. If I throw it into Neutral the sound goes away....when moving down the road.... Just had brakes replaced and they work great.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Could really use some help here. I have discovered the grinding noise gets even worse when I put it in 4x4. I am thinking it is coming from the transfer case. When at a stop, if I select 4x4 there is a loud clunk and the truck shakes a bit then the grinding noise gets worse.

Help please!
