Started a thing today. I let a buddy borrow my cutoff tool and my angle grinder, so I couldn't get the compressor mounted yet. Hoping to get together with him by next weekend, then a couple of hours finishing the plumbing and wiring both switches....

Just curious, but why did you mount the airhorns in the rear? I'd think mounted in the front would be more effective, ie louder!

This is the 5th vehicle I've installed these on. With over 100psi flowing through these Nathans, it doesn't matter where you mount them.
I've traditionally mounted them in the spare well on every truck so far. I can get my 5 gallon air tank, the horns (Nathan P3's), the compressor, and the valve all mounted in the well. It makes it easier to plumb, and depending on availability of a 12V access in the rear.....it can keep it easy to wire too.

The best part is most folks would look for a big jacked up truck when they hear train horns, I am sure Roger can testify the same. It was even more stealth with the Trailblazer SS's.

Got it all installed, even took the rear seats and passenger seat out completely to run the wiring from the console (switches) to the back where the pump and other hardware is. It's a win/win, I got to vacuum in the few areas I haven't been able to get to yet.....and cleaned up the few little stains my carpet had. I did cut the mat where my switches are, just didn't get a picture of that.
At least there was a win with the cleaning, it appears my pressure switch doesn't want to work, it isn't cutting the compressor on. I need to get underneath the truck with the multimeter to confirm, but that is my suspicions.

Evidently the piston on the compressor must have just had a little moisture in it. After the 15 mile drive to work yesterday, the compressor now runs. I'll try to get video soon and post a pass or two.

I've contemplated selling this setup several times, but now I'm kind of glad I haven't. Although this is the last vehicle I'll have them on, I swear. (I've said that for the last 3 trucks lol)

It was my phone actually.
We were out in the country, I wanted to get a pass going over it........but we didn't have anything to prop it up with. So I took off my shoe LOLYou should always be aware of your surroundings and wonder when you hear something in an abnormal setting.
I have a few soft spots so I don't horn older folks, pets, or anyone with a small youngin. I also don't horn any railroad workers, or do it at all when they are on or near the rails. I know from my own job that Norfolk/Southern police do NOT mess around. But I have some really good stories of hornings around RR tracks, including a few police officers.

@992dr , have you done your suspension yet? I am about ready to make a decision on mine, I know I need to do the ball joints up front too. I'm almost able to actually SEE the air in the front tires, due to the excessive camber from everything being worn. I'll be so ready to get rid of these dang Goodyears off of this truck, then do the suspension at the same time. I'll have a lot less noise coming from the metal clips in the trim panels inside too, so less work there.

I tried to do it over the 4th weekend but got called out of town for work. Ever since I've been going every other weekend.
I was actually thinking about you Saturday. I saw a PPV like yours in Cary/Raleigh area. License plate said UKETCHUP or something like that. Was that you? Or do you know of him?
I'm going to try and get my suspension done within the next few weeks.
