I was in Austin for my friends bachelor party and saw a blacked out Denali with the roof rack blacked out and it looked S I C K !!!!!

How did you black it out with 3M tape?

3M has a great product that the BMW guys use to black out the chrome window moldings on their cars. it's simply vynal overlay. Get the gloss to match the paint! I used it on my chrome hood molding that was always a pain in the ass to paint as well as on the roof rack. You can black out anything with this stuff! Looks as good as paint! Door handles! moldings! P.S. ask the dude to sell you 2 rolls for the price of 1. he will do it! Although I have used a lot of it and am still only on my first roll.
