Software upgrade

I have read about a software upgrade regarding service charging system message that comes up on my 07 tahoe. Does anyone know about this? It comes on a few times a week but I have not had any issues with not starting or dead battery.

When I first bought mine it was dying every week or so. They updated the software along time ago back in 07.

Mine was giving the "service charging system" in the dic. Replaced the alternator and all is good now.
