Has anyone blacked/smoked their taillights? If so, what method - paint or film? Debating on getting mine done but want to see how they look first.

There is a precut tint product on Amazon but it doesn’t have great reviews. I don’t want to tint with anything permanent.

Had the lenses painted on my At4 -- my business partner had his Denali lenses filmed. The filmed lenses look lighter and cleaner in person.

Yeah I bought the ones for the side marker and although they looked great, they bubbled so much. Turns out the glue bubbled up when I installed them so I took them off

I’m going to say it’s film, but it was done pretty professionally by a third-party Upfitter near my dealer. Dealer made all the arrangements and the vehicle was ready when I picked it up.

Those both look great! Are the wheels on that Denali the stock 22's powdercoated black?

Also, noticed you got the 6.2 in the AT4! That was my fallback if I couldn't get my hands on a 2022 Denali. The AT4 is a great looking SUV.

Thanks! Yes he had the stock wheels powdercoated - they came out great. He has since had the chrome deleted - looks so much different than stock.

Thank you! Do you by chance have any side shots of it? I can get my stocks powder coated for about $800, thinking of going that route. You can PM if you do, as to not hijack the thread.

Those lightly smoked tails look pretty legit almost like they're a factory option but I'm sorry those super dark black ones look terrible

That’s looks super clean. How much did they charge, if you don’t mind me asking?
I really don't know. It was part of an overall package of doing the blackout of the whole vehicle. Get tons of compliments on it...

Matte wrap looks pretty cool. Hate the tail lights though. Thought that fad died out a while back but to each his own. They have that 2000’s ebay “tuner car” aka rice rocket vibe going on. Black tails belong on a broke *** accord with a big wing and a fart can exhaust and 4 mismatched rims.

That’s just my $.02 but with inflation it’s basically worthless

The smoked look is good, it's not everyone's cup of tea but having an overall dark exterior broken up by plain and stark bright red / clear tail lights looks like an oversight. A bit too much in my opinion, but overall this works well. I'm waiting for warmer weather so I can do something similar too.
