2012 PPV. Brakes need replaced. They arent warped just feel like they are hot spoted at higher speeds. Anywho are PPVs equipped with standard Tahoe pads and rotors? They seem to be better than any Tahoe Ive driven but Ive also never driven another lowered hoe with cop tires.

Pic is the Wifes new Blazer My PPV and My 1972 Nova. (Twin Turbo 406)

Dammit. Your pic bait got me.

Last I heard, the PPV brake components are standard issue Tahoe/Yukon, etc. and it's the pads that are unique. Something about the friction material being anti-squeal (for covertness) and suitable for high-speed braking with good fade resistance.

There, you have an answer. That's gonna cost you pics and deets on that Nova, though.

I'm actually running the rapestos police pads on mine. They get dusty, but for the most part they're quiet and they definitely stop well high speeds or otherwise.

I mini tubbed it and built the 3 link suspension myself. Its on Terminator X ecu with 2 65/67 china boi turbos on E85.

Police pads? Where did you find them so I can look. I live by Summit racing and they dont have a listing like that

I also got the raybestos r300 rotors that interestingly enough look a lot like these acdelcos right next to it.

My SSV came with drilled and slotted rotors so I replaced them with the same from Rock Auto. Went with the police ceramic pads. Stops on a dime and gives you some change.

I never understood why people put the same terrible PPV tires back on these, let alone the metallic brake pads and such. Get rid of all that crap, your kidneys/ears/carwash equipment/wallet will thank you. Get tires that are a comfortable ride, get brake pads that are quiet and low dust. Just my salty (yet dustless) $0.02.

That PPV purist mentality is real. Some people are just...
