Hello all,

I recently lost a foglight lens on my LT so instead of buying a new set I decided to get a black Z71 valance with the round lights. Now i'm trying to decide should I leave it black and put it on or paint it to match the truck (silverbirch)?
I have seen a few on the road with the valance painted but I was wondering if anyone here had a painted one? Is it worth it considering rock chips and the fact that it's flexible plastic etc?

Thanks

When I first painted mine (black) all I got were chips so the white fiberglass underneath really looked great, Then I got the 3M clear bra it was a great investment and theres enough to do the fenders and hood to

I say paint, always looks good painted, looks more classier, takes away the basic truck look.

paint it.. make sure they bulldog the hell out of it.. i have aired my bumper out to close to the curb and crammed the valence onto the sidewalk...

No cracks.. no chips.. looks brand new (urethane)

I'd say paint it. If you are worried about chips use the clear bra, and that'll save it from chips.

i would paint it, and if you do MAKE SURE you sand and prime all of the texture out, other wise it will eventually peel off like someone that lives by me that decided to paint all the plastic exterior on a OBS avalanche without sanding and priming it good enough to get the texture out
