I hope you get to spend some serious seat time lapping your local track, you have a few to choose from back there and some are really close. I can't see owning one if you don't drive it like it was meant to be. I had a 01 Z06 that I raced in Stock Production for a few years. After a while, you become one with the car and everything feels like it's responding to every driver in-put at the moment you do it. A simple joy to drive at its ragged edge.
I'm booked May 22nd at Roebling Road outside Savannah (the closest road track to me) ... by then I'll have the necessary 1500 miles before tracking. And I'll be at Road Atlanta later in the summer.

First required oil change at 500 miles ... then the PCM frees up the engine tune. You do the CC brake brandishing after 500 miles, track it after 1500. Of course there are always those that drive straight from the dealership to the track. These days all that is logged in so if you blow an engine it won't be covered under warranty unless you followed the correct procedure before tracking.

The amazing part is that there's still a manufacturer that has a procedure for tracking within warranty for two vehicles. You put a GTR on the track one time and that's it, the whole engine and power-train warranty is gone.
Give me dates for Road Atl and I'll drive down to see you. Get you some teach photograph. I have shot a few races their over the years. The Back S going up the hill makes for some sweet shecaine shots and ass end shots.
That doesn't sound right ... but ok.
I know the corners and good angles to get at this track. This track has made me some decent green over the past 10 years taking photographs.
