Yeah it was pretty cool and I was pleasantly surprised how good it looked with the top down. Good info in the vid :)

I just had the coolest experience today. I don't know if you guys know this but all the LS7 and LT4 engines are hand assembled from beginning to end by one person at the GM Bowling Green plant. All the Z/28s and Z06s with Z07 package get a plaque on their engine block with the name of the builder.

So there's a thread both in the camaro5 forum and corvetteforum with folks posting the name of their engine builder. One of the CF members works at the BG plant and has been following the thread, and today I woke up to a PM from my actual LS7 builder and we've gone back and forth with PMs all day, and he's also talked to my LT4 builder, and they all invited me to have a drink with them when I go to the Vette Museum.

How freaking cool is that? To actually communicate with the craftspeople who put these rockets together and to eventually hook up to talk cars. I dare say good luck getting Hans the engine builder in Stuttgart to yak GT3s with you ... he's such an ass. :)

Anyhoot ... fun stuff, and I even found a video of my actual LT4 builder (Mike Priest) putting together an LS9 for the old ZR1:
