A few days ago I started up my '03 Yukon XL 2500 and the driver seat heater came on. strange. So I turned it off. Ever since, it's been coming on at random times and I have to turn it off. Sometimes it comes on immediately and sometimes it waits a few minutes. The switch seems to work fine.

I would like to at least disable it.

Any ideas?

I think they come on when you start the truck if it's below a certain temperature, I know mine does. Is it cold where you are?

The temperatue was cool, around 30 degrees. Since then it's happened at temperatures up to 48 degrees.

I've run the truck in colder weather, down to 15 degrees in the past but the seat heaters didn't come on automaitcally. Now when I'm driving down the road, my butt and back start getting warm. I look down and the seat heater is on. Completely random!

Solder ball?

Spray some contact cleaner (or failing that, windex) in the switch itself.
If that doesn't do it, replace the switch.
