Got the new front air deflector and fogs on last night. I really thought that would be a pretty simple swap but man, those GM clips are crazy! Had to completely removed the bumper just to be able to get them off and then reinstalled.

Your paint looks really really good for 2002. I mean it looks really good but it's surprising that its from 2002

Thanks man. That's one of the things that made me choose this truck. The paint's still got a great shine to it. I buffed the hell out of it when I got it, which helped a lot.

The mechanics and exterior have been really well cared for, especially for 200K+ miles. I only wish they'd taken as good of care of the interior too.

So, one of the last pieces I need to track down to finish my front end is a new grille. I really like the look of the '06 LTZ grille, which has just the horizontal strip chromed, and the rest of it body-colored, but I'm not keen on giving the dealer $700 for a new one.

Anyone know of a good aftermarket one with that look? Or, does anyone know of a solid way to paint the chrome on mine to get that look?

I finally made it to the parts store today and picked up a simple gear puller to help me get past the torsion bar speedbump. The rest of the passenger side is now torn down, so hopefully tomorrow I get to throw everything back together and wrap up this stage of the project. Fingers crossed.

Well, it took about 2 weeks longer than expected, but I finally got the suspension stuff finished. I guess flu season was a bad time to take this on, but oh well. Here she sits fresh back from the alignment shop:

Now if I could just make up my damn mind on which wheels I want!
