Hey,

I was wondering if I went from my current 305/50r20s to stock 17s with stock size tires on them if I would pick up any MPG.

the tires are about shot on my 20s so I was thinking of picking up a set of 17 or 18s and selling the 20s with the slicks I am running now or just get new rubber to put on the 20s????

help me make up my mind. I am not a big fan of huge rims and tires. but these 20s don't look huge or ugly so I might just keep em.

the 20s are 20x10 and the tires are super wide.. they dont track well on the highway

What I was thinking: w/ 265/70-17

I've run 18s,20s & 22s. Didn't notice much if any +/- that was significant. Smaller wheels, come bigger tires. Usually. Wheel/tire weight is what does it, rotating mass. Actually my current 22s do great.
And love my Nitto 420s. Never used the Falkens.

you'll be much happier with the nittos. although the stz05's are a newer tire from falken so i don't have as much experience with them. but the stz04's were pretty much crap.

only thing with the nittos is you want to make sure your suspension is in check or they can start wearing funky. keep em rotated every 5k miles and proper inflation.
