I have a 2013 Denali Xl with 287k on the clock. To my knowledge it still has the original shock/struts. I seems like you feel every bump and crease in the road. I am looking for a more comfortable and smoother ride. Any help appreciated.

Left to your own devices, you already know you'd be replacing those shocks/struts, right?
Since you do not seem to be interested in improved reflexes - 'more comfortable and smoother ride' - Bilstein 4600. There are other options, of course ...

So far, no complaints with KYB monomax struts.

The spring has an extra coil, monotube, it's already assembled.

Nothing special, but they are a major shock manufacturer, and they don't ride stiff at all. Sample of 1.

If you want to get your truck's original suspension ride back, it's going to cost you some money, as the components in these suspensions are sophisticated and expensive. For the parts only, 4 shocks and 1 compressor will run you between $1500 - $2000. If you are a reasonable wrencher, you could perform the work yourself. If not, add labor costs to the parts cost.

As folks above have suggested, there are cheaper options available to you.

well the obvious first step is to get under it and LOOK at it.
that should go without saying.
you also do not provide any other details. so cannot advise on what to do 1st other than the first line above, then report back.
I can suggest taking pictures of the rear shocks at the least and uploading photos here.
while you are under there looking at it, note any fluid leaks, broken or missing parts.

@jetson22 your truck is due for OEM z55 Autoride struts. It’s also due for new strut bushings that have a rubber damper pressed in. Your truck is equipped with one of the best rides available only 2nd to Range Rover.

OEM z55 are available from RockAuto and the real deal. They’re guaranteed for life now. Don’t be the guy that “finds a better deal” or discovered a shop that promises a $100-$150 strut with a lifetime or 10 year guarantee that won’t be honored because you installed it on the truck.

If $250 per strut frightens you, be glad you didn’t have your truck when new when they had a 1 year warranty and were $1,000.00 each. Just do it right once so you don’t have to look back with embarrassment and spending OVER $1k to permanently fix it.
