I know how to remove the mirror assembly off the truck, but I don't know how to change out the glass. How do you do this?

It should just pop off.

If you take it to a glass shop where they do that kind of work all the time, the technician might take it out for you for a small fee.

It's a very common replacement item.

Heated mirror's - might be a lot more money.

The question is - why do you want to take it out?

Thanks, I think I'll take it to one Saturday. My dad wants to put my old turn signal/heated mirror faces in his 2010 Sierra, which currently have no features. I'm not sure if this is all it takes to add those features, but, we wanna try!

Just give him your old mirrors, and have him paint them to match the truck.

I offered to but he keeps saying he doesn't want the whole thing...I'm probably just going to stick them on there anyways so I don't have to worry about breaking the glass.
