are you sure you didn't order ones for the hatch instead of the glass?, if there are differences in the build year usually there are fitment notes.

The attachment points did change between the early and later models, so the lengths may vary as well. On my 98, fully open, the pivots are about 17-1/2” on center with the entire strut being 18-1/4” end to end.
If your 95 does not look like this, try comparing your dimensions with a 94 K-Blazer as those are probably the older style mounting points. No guarantees, but it’s worth a shot.
Edit: here is a 94, the arms are a little higher on the body and lower on the liftglass.
