Rear passenger speaker grille

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Looks like I'd need to replace the whole door panel according to this link

What is the material that appears to be ripped? Is it cloth-like, or is it plastic?

I had a warranty issue w/ my front speaker grill, and the "fix" was a whole door panel.

The majority of the pieces that make up a door panel are held together by heat-stakes. Might find a used door panel on EBay from a salvage yard? Odds of that are low considering the color is not as common and these rigs haven’t been on the market all that long…

I would think so, but the link I posted has them for sub-250. I’m used to BMW parts prices so this ain’t bad.

You could use a popsicle stick and some glue on the back side to make both ends of the tear mesh back together.

This same thing just happened to me today. Absolutely ridiculous that this is all one piece and the entire door panel would need replaced. Especially since that speaker grille is such thin cheap plastic.
