Rear Climate Control - 2002 Chevy Tahoe LT 5.3 4WD

I'm curious to find out if anyone knows how to remove the rear climate control unit. I actually am looking to replace the climate control or have it updated so that the lights work.

IIRC there is a screw in the front of the overhead console and then the console can slide towards the windshield and pop out. Once removed you should be able to access the backside of it.
