Rear Cargo Power

Hello, I want to install some led lights in the rear cargo area of my 16 Tahoe. I am trying to decide whether to make them turn on from a aux switch mounted back there or come on with the dome light. So two questions...

1. If I connect them to the dome light, I can just tap into the dome light wire right?

2. If i want them on a new aux switch, can I get power from the aux plug socket back here? Refer to photos.

As you probably already know, those rear power ports are constant battery voltage, not switched. You could just use them with a switched LED, but that may not be the "clean" look you're going for...
