2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate XL here.
Awesome.
I just realized today that all of my park assist has not been working for months thanks to a pole I hit at the ATM. I never really noticed today and then realized my beeping/vibrating and visual indication on the dash has not been there for a LONG Time.
I push the park assist button and all I get is this:
There is no option to turn the park assist on/off in the collision / detection system menu either.
Unfortunately as you can see I’m at exactly 36,001 miles - 2 miles until my warranty expires. I called the dealer and the soonest they can get me in is August, and since the warranty will be expired by then, I was told I’d be on the hook for repairs. GM’s policy is black and white according to the dealer.
The only option they have me was to drop it off tomorrow and wait until they have a slot open to look at it, which may be days or weeks and they could get around the warranty issue since i will be less than 5 miles over. That is a major inconvenience because I have a ton of travel coming up and they cannot guarantee a loner will be covered while I wait. Last time I will ever buy from Dave Sinclair again and if this is a GM policy, then this will be my last GM vehicle also. I have had zero warranty claims and of course as soon as I’m about to expire, something comes up, but that’s another discussion/rant.
Am I just overlooking something obvious to get the parking sensors turned back on?
Edit - I had Onstar tow the truck to the dealer. They are getting it with exactly 1.5 miles left on the warranty.
