rcx lift 4" OR 6"?

The 4" and 6" are the same other than the AAL. Just get the 6", if the block isn't enough then put the AAL in, if it is then sell them.

does the rcx kit come with 4" blocks an 2 1" aal's? or 1 2" aal? Also how do you figure how wide they will stick out with back spacing, offset and tire width? Sorry newbie here. Thanks for any help!

it comes with a 4" block and a 2" AAL for each leaf spring as well as U bolts.

Regarding the tire sticking out question, are you going for twh look of them pushed way out?

not way out maybe like 1.5-3" maybe? just cant really picture in my head really how wide they will stick out

just remember:

smaller number on backspacing means tires and wheels stick out farther.
negative offset pushes tires and wheels out farther

stock wheel backspacing is around 5.5 inches. Wheel width is 7 inches

so for example, you want a 10 inch wide wheel with 3.75 backspacing. That means that the wheel will be pushed out 1.75 inches because of backspacing (5.5-3.75=1.75)
and another 1.5 inches due to the width of the wheel. (10 inch wheel - 7 inch wheel = 3 inch difference/2 = 1.5)

Add it up and your wheel sticks out 3.25 inches farther than stock.

Thats just the wheel....that doesn't include the width of your new tires, which are wider than the wheel.

This is how I understand it. Someone else chime in if you see anything that looks wrong.

IMO, I would stick with a wheel width of 8 or 9, and try to stay in the 4 range on backspacing. Thats what I did.

the back spacing on the wheels I want are 18x9 with 4.5 and the offset is -11. Do yall think I should go with 12.5" wide tire or 13.5"?

12.5 is what I run on a 17x9 with 4.5" BS and my tires stock out a decent bit

I have a question I have a 96 Yukon with 35" BFG's on it, there is a 2" or 3" body lift one or the other. My question is does anyone know how to remove the front bumper? the Tire rubs slightly when turning, especially when turning into the drive way with the bump. I already shaved the back of the wheel well some and stopped that rubbing, now its only the bumper.. Oh the reason I am trying to remove the bumper is due to it being bent slightly down I was hoping it would be a quick fix.

Btw I just cleaned it in the pic and oil on the driveway is from an 85 nissan.

bowtiefreak... i like how wide yours stick out! how wide from the fender do you think they stick out? also whats the offset on those rims?

offset is -12mm. not sure how much they stick out but I have been stopped for it before and that was with a thinner wheel. I used to run a 17x8 with 4.5" BS no offset and a 12.5" tire.

I would guess to say they stick out 1.5" maybe 2"

Can't say, only have about 200 miles on them. I rarely ever drive the tahoe anymore. The tires I've been running for a while are procomp AT and Extreme AT. I used the Yokahama geolander MT before, they look cool and wear fast on teh street but so does any MT.

That is one thing that is tough, here is what I will do. A list of tires I have run and if I liked them or not:

BFG AT: did not like them, packed up quick, wore out fast
Sport King AT: sucked but I was in a bind when I got them
Yokahama geolander MT: good in teh snow and mud for the most part, wear fast on the street
Procomp AT: nice tire, hard compound, good street tire
Procomp extreme AT: liked these alot, good all round tire with mainly street driven trucks
Kuhmo road venture MT Kl-71: look bad ass, only driven on them a few times

mts are better offroad, the soft compound wears fast for a street truck...but they look cool
