I have a 15 ltz that has had a multitude of issues. The latest being a bad pop in the front end. The dealership told me it was a bad gear in steering rack. Does anyone have the correct part number for this? I have found some acdelco online for around $1k I believe will fit but want to make sure. Gm quoted me $2400 for one.

It’s deff worth getting a price from an Indy shop. Here in Cali I found the diesel specialist to do the suspension right since they’re not cherry picking ez pz, quick turn around jobs.

The first Indy diesel tech I brought our 08 Denali to swapped out our rack w/ a AC Delco reman unit complete w/ inner tie rods and had the outer tie rods done while it was apart.

Part # for our Denali is 45A1092 for OTR Tie Rods ($50.03 ea) and 19320552 for the Steering Rack Long ($572.76). $270 to install the rack and OTR. I declined the alignment bcs I have a 5 year alignment policy at Big O tire. That saved me $85. The out the door price on the rack, OTR, labor, tax and fluid was just under $1k.

The sweet spot here was having a broken bolt extracted from #8, a new exh gasket installed, a new TPMS sensor installed (from eBay), oil change w/ synth oil. Our service contract paid for $1k of the $1,765.00 bill. We’re ahead almost $2k on the $4k service contract we got in 2014. I’m buying these guys lunch!

Do you still have your old electric rack? Id like to experiment with it and try to fit it on my 07.

I have wondered if a electric rack swap is possible. I'm assuming since the HyHoe has EPS, then it should be able to at least bolt up. However... I don't know how it would affect the voltage system, I'm sure that electric rack eats up some juice!
