Just wondering, how many of you do, or wouldn't mind, depinning and repinning a high-priced connector (IE washer motor connector, $75+) instead of buying a new GM genuine or even aftermarket? This is a pennies on the dollar situation for the Delphi pins and USA wire.

I know the electronics in these trucks General Motors can be touchy, but I generally believe the connector/pigtail are a simple deal, and I personally will only buy OEM sensors to connect to them.

Thanks!

I don't know that a lot of repinning is done to these trucks?

most would just butt connector a new pig ail in.

as for the quality of pins, my 2 cents is having the correct crimper and being able to tell a good crimp from a bad crimp is more important than anything else.

are you selling pins?

You buying? :emotions33:
Lol no, not selling, I'm in the market for some though. Found Delphi 150s @ CE auto for pretty cheap, which I believe is what's used in many of our connectors, but not 100% on that.
You're right about the crimp/skill of it I do believe.

Base reason is I never understood auto electric at all until I decided to educate myself.
Also, I'm kinda broke at the moment, and don't feel like shelling out an EXTRA $45 for a O2 sensor pigtail, if all it needs is $4 of pins and wires.
Finally, for me, I just get my jimmies from repairing something vs replacing. Splitting hairs maybe. I also hate the look of butt connectors or soldered wires.

I bought one of those connector kits on ebay (weatherpack at the time) with the proper crimper. Works great!
I use the same crimper with the newer metripack connectors as well.

Maybe find a junkyard pigtail and splice it on for cheap and easy.
