Questions about leds think I have all my info straight.

Ok I have searched the forums on most of the led taillights swap threads. Just want to make sure I have all my facts straight and not going to run into any problems with purchase or installation. Correct me if I wrong on any of this.

1) Most of the different brands are all plug annd play.
2) Led's use less power then the stock bulbs in the factory unit.
3) With the fact of #2 the stock wiring setup reconizes the leds as a blown bulb and you get hyper blinkers.
4) To correct the above you need to change a resistor to a lower ampage.
5) If you chose not to instal the above the hyper blinkers will not damage the electronics or wiring.
6) Are there any led tails that once installed do not cause the hyper blinkers.

I think I have covered any question that can be thrown out there and just seeking conformation on the above.

if u just put in led bulbs u need the fix the flash. if u get a plug and play tail light ur good to good dont have to do anything else

Most LED tails (the complete tail light) do have resistors built into them so they wont cause hyper flashing. But if you are just using some LED bulbs into some tails, they will cause the hyper flash.

I've stated this elsewhere, but I'll say it again: Even if your LED tails come with resistors, you STILL COULD have the fast-blink problem.

You can have it because:

1. The taillight itself (internally) is "bad"
2. The resistor is "bad"
3. The taillight and resistors are fine, but when your battery gauge drops below midway, it can cause the fast-blink problem.

If you experience 1. or 2., get new pieces from the vendor.

If you experience 3., then you may need aftermarket resistors. I've been experiencing 3. a lot lately, and so I'm thinking I'm going to have to go the aftermarket route. That, or I need to determine what can cause the battery gauge to draw down -- and then I'll have to determine if it's a "problem" that needs solving, or if it's just something that is normal.
