On my 99 Tahoe is there anyway to recalibrate the speedometer and odometer? I am now running 305/55R20's on 20x12's... so I am sure my gauges are not reading correctly.

I just checked my gas mileage today, and although I recognized that my speedometer would not be accurate due to my increased tire/wheel combination, I failed to make the connection that my odometer would be off as well... that is until I crunched some numbers:shocked:

Any help would be appreciated - Ray

I will readily admit that I feel pretty stupid for not recognizing that my odometer readings would be off a bit due to the increased circumference of the tire. :duh:

I bought one of these:

You can set a variety of parameters including tire size and gear ratios so everything is correct. It's pretty expensive and is set up to only work with one vehicle at a time.

I always thought that somebody in the business with a serious computer programmer would do the reprogramming for a reasonable fee, but I have never found one.
