Question about HD Hoods

Well, more of a "will it work" than a question... I got the OEM part number for a HD hood, and was wondering if the part on rockauto was the right thing.

I really want to get mine done, but I don't want to screw up and buy the wrong thing.

OEM part number I have is 15745931...

I got mine from Amazon. If you have Prime it shipes free. It is a OEM GM hood too.

One additional question though - Is there a reason the price is so different from rockauto versus amazon, and everywhere else I'm seeing?

Rockauto has it for $230 - Amazon was 400+.

If it's the same thing then I'd obviously want to jump on the RA deal.

Rock auto lists it as "VARIOUS MFR" in otherwords aftermaket replacement part. Then you have to add outrageous shipping cost. What you will end up with is a cheap thin metal bodyshop replacement part not a true GM piece.

Buy GM and be done with it...

Yea, you can sometime beat Amazon, but not often. I am willing to bet money that the rockauto is not a GM part as it says Various MFR. That alone will account for the price difference.
