Query: TB Spacer.. is it worth it?

As I request, is the throttle body spacer really worth it?

Beside MPG increases (as some say), does it really gives that extra hp?

I am getting my air raid jr. intake, and I was thinking to consider get a TB spacer and after that tune it with a programmer (Superchips 2865 Flashpaq), so all my new intake and exhaust runs and performs well.

a) Yay (go for it) if so which one out there?
b) Nay (waste of money) just get the programmer
