Well today my new lights arrived and I replaced the stock flood light puddle lights with the upgraded Chevy bow tie puddle lights. The install is a piece of cake and all that is needed is a very small flat head screw driver.
That screw driver will go into the tab hole under your mirrors and depress the small tab on the puddle lights.
Once the screw driver is in the tab move the tip of the screw driver towards the middle of the puddle light. This will move the tab and unlock the entire puddle light from the mounting hole.

Once the light is out unplug it.

Then grab the new puddle light and plug in the wire. The purple label goes on the driver side mirror and the orange label goes on the passenger side.

Reinstall the puddle lights just like they popped out and you are good to go.

I bought my 2021 Tahoe LT from incoming dealer stock and did not get a chance to customize it. So with the help of an online Chevy dealer parts store on Ebay I was able to do this upgrade for $94.99. Much cheaper than the $135.00 option if ordering one custom. Good luck with this great looking mod and let me know if you have any questions.

Wife will definitely want this and so simple to install!

Ya it takes less than a minute per side and that is still taking your time :) LOL . Just remember that the one with the purple sticker goes on the driver side and the one with the orange sticker goes on the passenger side.

For those wondering about which one goes on which side, the instructions explain:

Chevrolet drivers side is purple, passenger side is orange.
GMC drivers side is blue, passenger side is green.
Cadillac drivers side is yellow, passenger side is white.
