Problem in Transmation

I have tahoe sport 95 4wd
Before few days my car was very good when I try to go faster it was not shifting from 3rd to 4th, I stop the car and turn it off for a while and start the engine again and back to shifting normally!!!
after 2 days same problem happened, if some one have idea about this problem please feed me

my sport has a 4l60e
it could be electronic, does it stay in 3rd and simply not go into 4th
or does is rev like its in neutral?
