I requested an "intake service"at my shop. I've attached the invoice from that work, does this look right to you?

You could use bottles of Techron Fuel System cleaner (according to label directions) which would be much cheaper and have good effect.

Autozone often sells the bottles under a buy-one get one free sale.

The invoice description looks correct. What @2024 White Tahoe said is correct as well. I use Techron Complete Fuel Injection System Cleaner and dump it in about every 4th or 5th tank full.

The only way to really do it right is if you can get a borescope to look at how much buildup is on the intake valves and if it's heavy you actually have to remove the intake and walnut blast the intake valves. This is why a catch can is very helpful because it greatly reduces the amount of wheel vapor that gets pulled into the intake. And you can use something like Techron on a fairly regular basis.

that is their generic description for a intake service, one size fits all approach.
if it was as simple as adding injector cleaner life would be grand
generally without removing the intake to do a walnut shell cleaning then injector cleaner is added then the throttle body and maf is cleaned, then a chemical is fed into the intake thru the throttle body and the engine is ran to chemically break down carbon deposits, then it is driven like it was stolen to help get all the crud out.
there is a kit made by BG that is similar to what the dealer may use without removing the intake. (depends on severity)

If you had a catch can you wouldn’t need that service.
