I remember just yesterday making a post about how my truck has 178,000 on it with no problems except brake lines and alternator. I spoke to soon. i got in my truck today, started fine. But the pump was whining so loud! I can hear my pump strain even when i hit the switch to put the windows up.

I can hear it over some mid level music. So after the movies tonight it had sat for about 4 hours. It almost didnt start....I had to crank it twice. And its louder than ever.

Good sign its time to replace before it ***** the bed or what? And whats the cheapest i can get it on the fly around my town you think? Should i do myself?

After dropping my girlfriend off at her house, i shut it off, started it back up. 3 times. It started just fine, like normal. Could it be a bad relay? But i dont think the relay would cause it to whine super loud?

Probably getting about that time to replace it. If you do it yourself until you get a new one in i would carry around a rubber mallet or something like incase it decides it does not want to start you can smack the gas tank a couple of times it normally gets it started but not always

if your planning on going more performance you might think about a 2 pump set up. i had a local shop maned "full blown motors" fab it up for me it uses stock connections and in due time all i will have to do is update my fuel lines

My advise is not to buy cheap unless you want to replace a little ways down the road. My buddy replaced his fuel pump with a infearior one and ended up having to do it again 5k later because it crapped out on him. I'd buy the AC Delco one, they are a little more expensive but quality parts are worth their weight in gold IMO.

Already have an App Wed at my local shop. $300 installed, New Fuel Pump and new Fuel Filter. Delphi Brand. Its good enough price for me. I didnt want to deal with the hassle of putting it in. Ill stick to exterior mods and lighting...haha. Oh haks, quick question.

Remember those Chrome incandescent bulbs you were showing me for my parking lights? Do you think they will out off a chrome color lighting? Or something that atleast resembles the color of my Hids like this?

Damn, that is a good price.

No, they will be amber in color. Only way you will get something close to that color is with LEDs, something similar to what is in my avatar, I am running those in my parking lights. They are suppose to be close to, if not 6000K.

They're really bright:

Do you have a link to those? And i never see pics of your rig man! Looks great! I always wanted a white hoe....

Someone told me you have to run relays or flashers with the led bulbs because they will send a signal to the computer that there is a bad bulb all the time? Is that true?

Yeah, they're all ****** cell pics so I don't post them up. Thanks, Want to get it repainted white; grill and bumpers, hopefully by the end of next year.

Here is the link:

They are switchbacks. Check out the video at the bottom of the page.

It is true, you will get hyper flashing, where your blinkers flash super fast. You can easily buy an electronic flasher to replace the OE one...they're only like $15 dollars.

So if i bought thesehttp://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Parking-Light-LED/White-LED/2-HID-WHITE-24-LED-PARKING-p4481028-1-2.html

It would work, but it would just flash really fast? Is this something that has too be changed because it will break something in the long run or can the upgraded flasher just be worked around?

Yeah, they would just flash really fast. Not a bad thing, LEDs just require less juice to turn them on, you get the hyper flashing because the vehicle is designed to do this when a bulb is out. Since the LEDs dont require a lot of juice your truck thinks you have a bulb out.

Before you order them, order an electronic flasher from SuperBrightLEDs. You know where the flasher is located? By the parking brake, little square box. Should say "Turn/Hazard Flasher" on it.

I would get these though:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn-Signal-LED/White-LED/2-WHITE-1157-V-LEDS-M-p6624816-1-2.html

They should be in-stock within a couple of weeks, they will be much brighter than the ones you posted.

No problem.

Just take your flasher out and see what pin configuration it its. Should be the GM one.
I have a 95, they used two different flasher, one for the turn signal and one for the hazards, so I wouldn't be able to tell you on yours.I took a look at my brothers in his 99 once, but I don't recall what pin configuration it was.

$300 is worth having the shop do it, if they weren't just quoting you the labor. If that's just the labor, you're better off doing it yourself, if you can find a heated place to work on your car...
