Very nice conversion. I wonder if it cost him as much as buying an actual Escalade :)

I do not see the point of driving around a vehicle that is branded something it isn't. I would do the Escalade fascia but put some sort of de-badged grille so it wouldn't be advertised as a Tacalade.

Tires! You guys are worse than a bunch of housewives, amazing what you notice!

BUT... :)

"there is no way of telling that this is a Tahoe"

Except for the Chevy emblem on the steering wheel....

I would not drive it with that Esky grill, makes it look like a wannabe. Just get a Strut grille and problem solved. :D
Its weird how tires were noticed, but nobody mentioned that the thing has probably been in a front-end wreck before, like 80% or cars with different front clips.

Exactly what I was thinking...After putting all that work/money into the conversion, why stop short with the airbag cover emblem...oh...and the roof rack.

It does look pretty sweet, but I think it would have been better this way:

Is it a Tacalade, or is it an Escahoe?

Those aren't Escalade tail lights are they? I bet if you add up on the parts, labor and wheels it adds up to almost as much as buying a used Escalade. I would feel a bit like a tool driving a replica Escalade. Like driving a Fiero - Ferrari Convert, although I don't have a problem wearing a replica Rolex. :)

No they are Tahoe tails.
It has been in an accident, I just saw it on the AutoCheck vehicle history under the listing. So Punisher, the only extra money it could have ran him is the $ difference between Tahoe parts, and Escalade parts, which is probably around $700 at best. So he could not afford a used Escalade with the extra money. PLus it looks to have only sold for $23000!

The roof rack and running boards are a dead giveaway..... I Would not drive a half ass conversionn, unless I used strut grill and emblems
