PPV spare tire

Did Tahoe PPVs have a spare tire under the car. Mine was missing and I want to replace it. There appears to be a heat shield in the way. Or is it bent over? Is it supposed to protect the tire from the exhaust?

Protects the tire. Is there a winch on the frame? Access hole in the bumper for the winch bar? What year?

Winch works. Sounds like I have to bend the heat shield vertical so it doesn’t interfere with the tire. Heat shield must have taken some abuse during a police chase.

Yup. There’s one under there. I replaced mine to fit a 20 inch steelie

My 2012 was missing the spare, Jack, and tools. It has the lift winch and the shield. Bought a used PPV rim from LKQ online and the Jack/tools from EBay.

No spare wheel/tire came with mine, nor did the tools or Jack.

The winch is up under there, not sure if it works, as the key that operates my ignition doesn’t work with the spare tire key hole thing.

Does anyone here have any knowledge of installing a new key/lock assembly in the rear frame bumper?

Thank you man. I have a used Jack and tools in my eBay cart. My winch “may” work, not sure though. Cant even unlock the lock to test Lol.

Don’t have the tools to test it either!

Gonna replace the lock.

pretty sure those locks are not "key specific" probably just need to spray some wd40 in it and work it a few times, while you have it turned to open pull out towards you they can get sticky if not used for years.

I'm missing the bracket and wing nut that secures the jack and tools in the rear anyone know where to get replacements.
