Powerstop rotors installed

Had the new rotors and pads installed today and the rear calipers replaced since they seemed to be kinda stuck lol. It does not seem to stop better than the old OEM rotors that was on it. It actually seems to be a bit worse. Anyone know if there is a reason for this?

How does the pedal feel? When changing calipers on these trucks bleeding properly is important.

If they are ceramic pads it will take longer to stop. Less dusting but less braking.

The pedal is squishy. If I pump them once it stops on a dime. They are carbon fiber/ceramic pads. The ones that come with the powerstop cross drilled and slotted rotors. I spoke to the guy that did them and he said he flushed the system and bled them. Said I could bring it back in but he doesnt think air is in them.

I'd bring it back. "squishy" pedal sounds like air in the system.

I had a hell of time getting my pedal right after changing all four calipers. This truck is unique i have changed a caliper same way and no air entered. Then i did this truck and it felt lime the master cylinder was bad. Its gonna take some good long bleeding.

I called the guy that did it and he said to bring it in and he will rebleed the system. So Im going to take it in on Monday and hopefully he gets it right. He said he bled it and saw no air but sometimes it settles somewhere and comes out after a re attempt lol. Not sure how true that is though. But hopefully he gets it right on Monday or there abouts. At least it seems everyone thinks its just air.

He has to bleed all four corners. Not just the ones he changed. He may charge extra for this but its necessary.

Drilled and slotted rotors that are the same size as stock, assuming your original blanks were in good working condition should perform worse than stock under normal operating conditions. You lose surface/friction area. Should help keep pads from glazing or overheating though.

The originals were warped and very badly rusted. Not sure what stock pads were either but put carbon fiber/cermaics. I thought everyone said the powerstop cross drilled and slotted would preform better. That is why I got those over stocks that im sure would have been cheaper.

He flushed all the old fluid out too cause it was dark he said so Id assume he bled all. If not Ill ask him about it when I take it in next week.

Good score. Just installed mine a few weeks ago. Just have to flush the brake and power steering fluid, but very happy with the outcome with looks and better stopping power.
