My 2023 Yukon XL Denali passenger side running board keeps deploying while I am driving. Sometimes if the passenger opens/closes the door it resolves the issue but not always.

I have gone through the car wash multiple times hoping maybe it was debris or a dirty sensor but no luck. Any suggestions?

Did you try messing with Settings to see if changing the deployment settings would correct their behavior?

Mine did this a couple drives after having an ice build up keep the driver’s side one from retracting all the way. I changed the settings back and forth, and it either corrected the problem, or was completed coincidental.

Thats what I hate about these in a Michigan winter. When ice and snow builds up on them, they can do that. Mine get a build up on the front and it throws it off causning it to go in and out. I usually try to keep it clear when it starts doing it.

Mines the last generation but I put mud flaps on it to stop the ice and stuff from getting to it. And also to protect the door bottoms because they're getting chips, the fixed running boards sticking out further at least help prevent that.

I did put the flaps on mine but still get some build up. It helps but it still does it sometimes.
