Sorry I meant to type 2007.

Hi all. This is my first post and glad to be here. I've looked and did not find, so excuse me if it's been posted before and I did not find it.

I'm trying to run a + and - cable from the battery to a ham radio but can not find anyplace to run the wires through the firewall. Anyone know where to run them.

Last truck was a 2001 Silverado and was and an easy install.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Earl

There is no open hole but under the master cylinder is a rubber boot with a few wires going thru. About an 1.5” hole. Untape and youll be able to get thru there. Il try and find a picture. Or when i get home tonight ill take one of mine.

Pickups and tahoes share a firewall and there is a punch out for the plow wires on pickups, when equipped, gm did run wires through there tho even if there is no plow pkg... your wires will fit.... just lube them up a little.

I also believe there is a rubber plug on the passenger side firewall that you can see when you pull the carpet back on the passenger front floor board.

Thanks!!!! With the fuse box in the way it will be a tight fit. Any short cuts?
It comes into the cabin behind the brake pedal a little higher everything is relatively easy once you see in there, firewall is double walled if I remember right. A little lube goes a long way, i got a group of 10 or 12 wires with a connector on the end for my plow through with no problem. Youll be good. Ill see if i can find a pic of the interior

Btw, welcome to tyf

Thanks Galante! And thanks for the help. This is my 1st Tahoe and I love it. It's a LTZ with 170K + miles on it and drive like a dream. Can only imagine how well it rode new. Looks new and only issue is the rear wiper works at times, but mostly not.
