Possible to have Foglights turn on with DRLs?

I'm not interested in the hi 6 mod, but I would like to run the fog along with the DRLs because I'm tired of hitting the switch every time I get in. Is there a way to jump the two together and retain the off/on switch for the fogs?

Through the use of a relay setup you could use the power from your drl as the signal for a relay to also turn your fog lights on. Then when your headlights come on the drl signal would go out and your switch would be need to be pressed to turn them back on if you needed them. Outside of doing that I would just jump the switch feed and have them come on as soon as I started it and still function correctly with the low beam and hi beam.

When you say jump, do you mean reverse the switch wiring? I didn't know if its possible to have the wires switched and it would be on and had to press to off

No basically just a bypass wire. There should be an ign power wire coming to the switch. Find that wire and connect it to the feed wire for the fogs. As soon as you start the truck they will come on until the truck is shut off. If you want them to come on but still be able to shut them off in the same fashion you would need to replace the switch. I would need to see the wiring to be sure but if gm hooked the switch through a relay it would be possible to accomplish your goal with the factory switch. I would need to see a wiring diagram for the fogs then you would need to hunt down the wires.
