I used 6 coats. I have a bottle of clear coat as well but I think I'm gonna leave them matte. Opinion on center cap please? Keep silver or black it out as well? I kinda dig the police wheel look but I'm uncertain of how it looks and would like your feedback.

Agreed silver. Gives it some contrast with the lug nuts. Glossifier of clear coat?
If clear coat rattle can, you will have a hard time if you ever decide to peel it off.

Yeah glossifier is what I meant. :) Awesome thank you Eagle. Do you hydrodip yourself? I think I'm gonna do it again in a couple of months and on the final coats lay down a thicker layer.

I've got the kit, watched dozens of videos but haven't done it yet. My wife gave it to me over a year ago for my birthday and she rightly criticizes me for not having dipped anything yet.

Black out the caps, then take a razor blade and go around the bowtie then peel up the bowtie. I think that would look cool, and I've actually never seen it done before

Lol same here I got the plasti dip bug I even plasti dipped my daughters bed that 50's aqua blue. I think that'll look good. I wanna do mine but unfortunately at the moment I have the depo chrome headlights and bumper lights so until I get a smoked pair I have to wait on de-chroming.

X3 on the silver. Duplicolor makes a plasti dip product as well. The colors dont work as well as Plastidip imo, but the clear is fantastic. I lay down the plastidip color and top it with the duplicolor clear. Good gloss, works great. Better than glossifier, imo.

Hey OP anymore pics of those wheels on your Tahoe? I'm on the fence about those in black. Not sure if they'd look good on pewter z71. Yours will help me visualize thanks.

I used Anthracite Grey plastidip on my grille last week. I like the color. It's supposed to be between gun metal and black. I also tried on some mirrors but I couldn't get the finish to point where I liked it so after a few attempts I ended up using paint instead.
