Just got my truck back from the body shop got a dent taken out and a really long deep scratch fixed.

Now the new paint doesnt look as shiny as the rest of the paint.
Not as smooth either.

How long should I wait to wax it?

How do I get rid of the orange peel?

Thanks

They have to knock out the orange peel, they gotta fix it be for the clear coat it. Once it's clear coated that's it. When I got my dent, fixed they did a good job, there section has no orange peel, kinda makes me want to paint the whole truck.

Think you gotta wait like 30-60 days for it to cure fully before you wax it.

Well I was looking up orange peel and mine looks nothing like the other cars I see, maybe it just needs to cure a while?

sorry to say, if your driving it, paint is cured. I'd go back, ask them to wet sand and buff it more. That's the only way to get rid of it. If they sued good clear, shouldn't be an issue.
