Stupid question, I know... but how does the usb connection work on the OEM non-navigation radios (with RSE)?

Are you able to access the usb by using the cd/dvd/aux button? Would steering wheel controls work with this, too?

I'm tired of using the aux jack to get the audio from my ipod to the stereo speakers, and might have an outlet to get a newer h/u with the usb.

Yes, you access it with the AUX button. It will display ipod or USB mode. All steering wheel functions will work also.

It is a little bit more involved than a Plug and Play. The USB radios can't be unlocked at any dealer and work with a 2009 or older vehicle. Contact Greg at CPS Audio, 707-588-9300. He will have you send the usb radio with your vin information and unlock the radio so it will work in your 2007. I did the exact same thing and its well worth it!!
