This morning i went to pick up a few heavy/large items for work. Used the nav and radio on the way up. On the way back, the radio wouldn't turn on. Nothing on the screen, no sound for blinkers or chimes. I stopped, turned off the car, opened and closed the door and restarted...but nothing. I assumed something came loose since i put in a Lockpick a few weeks ago. I hit mute 4x, and the lockpick menu did come up on the gauge cluster. When i got to the office, I unloaded everything at the loading dock then got in my car to go park it and everything worked again!

Any Ideas? This has never happened before. I was only carrying about 400lbs, rear seats folded up...not sure if any of that is relevant, but its the only thing that was different.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Wish I could help, but I read about these vehicles having electrical issues before buying my wifes 2008 Yukon, but thats what she wanted.

Hope you get everything figured out. If you do, please post back here.

I'm trying to figure out why her volume only goes so high. Its the lowest factory volume I've ever heard, ever, and I've owned a lot of cars in my time.

Check your connections. I had this exact problem and it was due to loose connection behind the nav.

Did you ever solve the issue? I just had the same thing happen twice this week. Only change I can think of is that I updated the NAV disc from 3.0c to 6.0c.

I hope to get to it this weekend and move all the components under the cupholders at the same.

I had it once when I left the dealership... stopped at my apartment and was about to go back to the dealership but when I got back in, it worked fine. I think it's just a really random bug

stevek, if you have NAV are you running the 6.0c disc?

Sounds like I should expect some occasional harmless but potentially annoying electronic glitches while owning the Tahoe.

I'm proud to finally own an American vehicle but it seems like GM electronics haven't changed much since my high school days.

btw, did you ever get a chance to work on your issue over the weekend?

I haven't had time to disconnect the GMX550 so instead I went for easier items.

Removing the 6.0c disc didn't correct the problem. But perhaps I need to insert my 3.0c disc to revert back to the old firmware.

Last night I disconnected the BlueFusion unit. We'll see what happens.

I didn't get a chance to move it, other obligations arose as usual. One of these days I will get to it....

Update: It's now been just over 3 days since I disconnected the BlueFusion. The radio issue has yet to rear its ugly head. It normally would have happened a couple of times by now. We'll see what happens over this long weekend. Kind of sucks b/c I like how the BlueFusion works and how easy it is to install.

Dang! On the last return trip home today, the stereo finally wouldn't turn on. The good news is that I was able to turn it on by pressing the Disc Eject button. I'll have to try that again next time. If that turns out to be a solution then I'll reconnect the BlueFusion.
