O2 sensor question

I was wondering if the 5.7 in my '99 would benefit from prophylactically changing the O2 sensors on the truck. I am not showing a code but my truck has 172k on the original sensors. I heard that that sensors from that era are good for about 80k.

Four but two different parts. . The front two are the same, and the back two are the same.

If you have amazon prime, they are usually the way to go. Make sure you get AC Delco part. rock auto usually is a little cheaper than amazon, but will get you with shipping.

Just replace the front two. Ignore the rear.

4L80E is shaped like a rectangle with two corners lopped off and 17 bolts.

700r4/4L60/4L60E is pretty much square with a couple irregularities and 16 bolts.

reading the wave form activity helps determine when you need to be change individual ones as opposed to all.

ig you have a gas engine then you have an 4l60e.

If you do go to Rock Auto and then try to save money by the least expensive sensors they could require you to splice the old connector on to the new wire so look at the pic of what you get but a true AC Delco part will have the connector.
