Also, those oe bow ties are double stick tape together. In other words the gold can come off to be painted (no tape lines) and then re-applied that way you still got the black border

That link is for the wrong bowtie. 07-13 1500s and 07-10 HDs took the same bowtie. Which is what that ad is for. The 11-14 HDs took a much larger non beveled one

Mines almost the same grille you have (same year, different style because my mesh is chrome). I did the OEM bowtie and then had it painted... colormatched the inside and a greyish paint to try to match the chrome of the grille

I love your truck man. Placed the order for the 25 dollar emblem. Hell of a deal. Will color match the gold and leave the black boarder. Front end is coming along. Will be ordering the hood trim and mounting it to my current 1500 hood. Would love a hd but do not have the funds to buy all the parts and paint for it so this will work. I’ve read about it and have seen pictures and I love the way it turns out. No one around here has done it too so I’ll be somewhat different.

Will be saving up as well for some color matched bumper caps and gonna go with a black middle piece instead of silver to tie in with the grille.

Got my emblem in. It’s a little more scratched up then I expected on a item that was stated as new(other). The ad says it has minor scratches from storage but these are past that. Can’t see them from 5 feet away but that was besides the point. Seller worked with me tho so overall happy
