installed a Pioneer 920 and can't pick up any AM/FM stations... is there a power switch to the integrated antenna (does it need to be energized)? If so, which wire???

I have the same issue. Replaced the headunit with a Clarion CX501 and used an antenna adaptor but now have terrible FM/AM reception. I can't figure it out. If I pull the headunit out of the dash and disconnect the antenna but leave the adaptor still connected to the head unit the reception gets better. I've tried grounding the headunit chassis and it did not help. Anyone have any ideas?
